1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to LifeAdmin. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LifeAdmin website, application, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by LifeAdmin Ltd ("LifeAdmin", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using LifeAdmin, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect and use your personal data.

2. Service Description

LifeAdmin is a household finance management platform that helps you:

  • Connect and aggregate bank accounts via Open Banking
  • Connect email accounts to extract bills automatically
  • Track and manage household bills and subscriptions
  • Match bills to bank transactions
  • Receive renewal alerts and notifications
  • Share financial visibility with household members

LifeAdmin is not a bank, financial advisor, or regulated financial institution. We provide information and tools to help you manage your finances, but we do not provide financial advice, lending, or payment services.

3. Eligibility

To use LifeAdmin, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a resident of the United Kingdom, Ireland, or another supported region
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
  • Have valid bank accounts and/or email accounts to connect

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

4. Beta Service Disclaimer

LifeAdmin is currently in beta. This means:

  • The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind
  • Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time
  • We do not guarantee uptime or availability
  • Bugs and errors may occur
  • Data extraction accuracy is not guaranteed

During the beta period, LifeAdmin is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans after the beta period ends, with reasonable notice to users.

5. Account Registration and Security

5.1 Account Creation

To use LifeAdmin, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You agree to keep your account information up to date.

5.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must:

  • Choose a strong, unique password
  • Not share your login credentials with others
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
  • Log out from shared devices

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

5.3 One Household Per Account

Each LifeAdmin account represents one household. Multiple household members can be invited to share a single household account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

6. Third-Party Services

LifeAdmin integrates with third-party services to provide functionality:

6.1 TrueLayer (Open Banking)

When you connect your bank accounts, you use TrueLayer's Open Banking service. TrueLayer is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). By connecting your bank, you also agree to TrueLayer's Terms of Service.

6.2 Nylas (Email)

When you connect your email account, you use Nylas's email integration service. By connecting your email, you also agree to Nylas's Terms of Service.

6.3 Your Responsibility

You are responsible for complying with the terms of any third-party services you connect to LifeAdmin. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or policies of third-party providers.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use LifeAdmin only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise security
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use the Service for money laundering, fraud, or other illegal activities

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8. AI-Extracted Data Disclaimer

Important: LifeAdmin uses artificial intelligence (AI) to extract information from your bills and documents. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI extraction is not 100% accurate and may contain errors
  • Extracted data should be verified against original documents for important decisions
  • You are responsible for reviewing and correcting extracted data
  • LifeAdmin is not liable for decisions made based on AI-extracted data
  • The Service does not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice

Always consult original documents and qualified professionals for important financial decisions.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Intellectual Property

LifeAdmin, including its design, features, content, and technology, is owned by LifeAdmin Ltd and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

9.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of your personal data and financial information. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use your data to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

9.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use this feedback without compensation or attribution.

10. Household Sharing

10.1 Inviting Members

You may invite other individuals to join your household and share financial visibility. By inviting someone, you represent that:

  • They have consented to receive the invitation
  • You authorise them to view shared financial data
  • You are responsible for managing household membership

10.2 Shared Data Visibility

Household members can view shared accounts, transactions, and bills by default. You can configure privacy settings to restrict what others see. We are not responsible for how household members use shared financial information.

10.3 Removing Members

You can remove household members at any time. Removed members lose access to shared data but retain their own connected accounts if they continue using LifeAdmin individually.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • LifeAdmin is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • We are not liable for actions of third-party services (TrueLayer, Nylas, your bank, etc.)
  • We are not liable for errors in AI-extracted data or decisions based on such data
  • Our total liability for any claims under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or £100 if you have not paid anything)

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LifeAdmin Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your violation of any applicable laws
  • Actions of household members you have invited

13. Termination

13.1 Termination by You

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon closure, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the Service
  • Your account poses a security risk

Where possible, we will provide notice before termination and allow you to export your data.

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Sections of these Terms that should survive termination (such as Limitation of Liability and Indemnification) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of LifeAdmin after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service and close your account.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and LifeAdmin regarding use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
